Kids Fitness Club starting March 5

We’re excited to announce a new after school club for kids starting March 5 at Iota Fitness. Kids of school age are invited to participate. Classes run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Your kids will learn the foundations of physical fitness, and make new friends while working out under the supervision of trained coaches.

Please fill out the waiver below for each child you are registering (every person needs their own waiver).

Athlete Profile – Coach Chance Pebley

Meet new Coach Chance Pebley. He usually works out with the 5:15 p.m. crew, but maybe you’ve seen him at a Saturday WOD, or during one of the other class times. Here’s an opportunity to get to know him a little bit better; he starts coaching classes March 1. 

Chance lives in North Logan with his wife Kendall, their chocolate lab Copper, and they are expecting their first baby boy late April.

Q: How long have you been participating in high intensity interval training (HIIT) and Olympic lifting?
A: 6 years

Q: What activities do you enjoy outside of the gym?
A: I love hiking, boating, and enjoy cross country skiing.

Q: What is your day job?
A: I do medical billing at the Budge Clinic.

Q: Where are you from?
A: Rupert, Idaho

Q: What’s your go-to healthy meal?
A: Oh man… water? Steak and salad, if that counts.

Q: What’s your favorite cheat meal?
A: Super cheesy quesadillas or nachos

Q: What’s your favorite crossfit-style movement?
A: This is like playing the game “Would you Rather…?” Burpees.

Q: What is your favorite lift?
A: Snatch

Q: Name three things in your fridge right now. Don’t look.
A: Milk, steak, butter

Q: What’s your favorite song to workout to:
A: Back in Black by AC/DC; I like to listen to rock in the gym, but country and pop is what I listen to when I drive.

Q: What’s your favorite WOD?
A: That’s like asking how I want to die. My favorite is Grace (30 clean and jerk for time).

Q: What is something about you that people would be surprised to know?
A: I lived in Adelaide, Australia for 4 months and surfed, fished, and babysat my niece and nephew. Yes, I was a manny.

Q: If there was a WOD named after you, what would it be?
A: Take a Chance – 5 rounds for time: 10 pull-ups; 15 burpees; 20 wall balls; 30 calorie airdyne

July announcements!

Hi Iota Fitness Family! We’ve got a few important changes coming up for the month of July.

Kickboxing – Last Wednesday class is June 28. Please join us on Tuesday evenings at 5:15 p.m.

Endurance and Olympic Lifting classes are ending June 30. There will be no classes in July.

Are you ready? Registration for Leave No Survivors is now LIVE. There are three categories: individual men, men’s team (2 males) and women’s team (2 females). If there is enough interest for individual women, we will add that category as well.

When: Friday August 11 and Saturday August 12. Competition starts at 6 p.m. Friday evening for those of you traveling to Cache Valley.

Iota Fitness announces the return of Summer Kids Club

Iota Fitness Kids Club begins Monday, June 12, and runs all summer long on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8-9 a.m. Kids will learn the foundations of physical fitness, and make new friends while working out under the supervision of trained coaches.

Who: Kids ages 6-11; 12+
Price: $100 for the entire summer (price includes a t-shirt)
When: M, T, TH at 8:00 a.m. (except holidays) for 1 hour
Where: Iota Fitness, 125 W. 560 S. 1-3, Smithfield, UT 84335

The total amount is due on or before June 12. Each child must have a signed waiver before participating. This can be completed any time before June 12, or please arrive 10-15 minutes early on June 12 (or your first class) to make your payment and sign the waiver.

5-8-17 -Announcing two new classes!

In a continued effort to improve your fitness, we are adding two classes to our schedule.

Tuesday – 7:00 pm – Endurance training

Wednesday – 7:00 pm – Olympic lifting

We still offer kickboxing Tuesday at 5:15 pm and Wednesday at 9:15 am.

These additional classes are designed to challenge you with something new. Jump in and try it out!
