And when that happens there’s no putting it back in!
Saturday morning as I drove to the box knowing it would be the last time that I would be doing so as the owner of something that has been a giant part of my life for the past 6-plus years. I thought of so many people who have come through the doors. The trusting few who walked in my door that first day and have been with us ever since. Those dedicated and amazing individuals who truly changed their life for the better and have continued down a healthy path, all the time changing me and making me better. The excitement of competing locally with so many of you, in so many different types events. So many fantastic community runs, Crossfit events, Half Marathons and Latoja with Jerry and John. Watching a group of our members work hard, excel and qualify for the CrossFit Games Regionals in 2012 and then again in 2014. The heartache of loosing Russ Seamons just two short years ago. So many great memories and experiences that I couldn’t begin to name all the people that I have thought of during this week knowing what was coming. I just want to thank everyone who has been a part of CrossFit IoTA over the years for coming and having some fun and fitness with us.
I couldn’t be more happy for our community that Daryl and Missy are teaming up to take over the box. They are going to bring a lot of fun and excitement to the gym. They are the right people to take the reigns and move the community and gym forward. I have all the conidence in the wold that they and willing, ready and posses the knowledge needed to help each one of us. I will still be at the box working out and Daryl and Missy will be there to help us all out. I look forward to a fun future for everyone. Congratulations and can’t wait to see what kind of fun workouts we are all in for!!
Just had to get Daryl one last time!!
(PS I will have all of the remaining IoTA gear, mostly T-shirts, at the box Monday night after I am done working out, 6:00 pm ish – $4.00 each or 3 pieces for $10.)
